When it comes to picking out a shower door for your home it is important that you choose one that is not only functional and durable, but also one that is going to be aesthetically pleasing in conjunction with the rest of your decor. In order to do this, you are going to want to look at all of your options and consider which ones you think are going to work the best for you. This article will discuss 3 decisions to make when choosing your shower door

Framed Or Frameless

When you are picking out your door, you are going to want to consider whether or not you want your shower to have a frame or if you want it to be frameless. A framed shower door will have a traditional metal frame surrounding the glass while a frameless shower door will just have the glass itself attached to the rest of the shower. A framed shower door is great because they are very mainstream and easy to find.  A frameless shower door can also be great because they are generally custom made, so you can easily get one cut to fit into any space that you need it to fit into.

Transparent Or Opaque

Another decision that you are going to need to make is whether or not you want your shower door to be transparent, opaque, or somewhere in between. An opaque door is great for providing an added level of privacy when you are showering because no one is going to be able to see you. With an opaque door, you can also add a creative design to the glass of your shower door. A transparent door is also excellent because it creates a very clean and shiny look for the glass of your shower that is very appealing visually, as well as timeless in terms of style.

Sliding Or Swinging

When it comes to the way that your shower door opens, you can choose between sliding or swinging styles. If you have a small bathroom, then a sliding door may be best so that you don't have to try to open and close a swinging door in a cramped space. Just keep in mind that a sliding shower door will need some type of frame at the top to slide along. A swinging door is an excellent option as well because these doors are very traditional and easy to find and have installed.
